Abrapa Reaffirms the partnership with BCI

The Brazilian Cotton Growers Association (Abrapa) announces that the partnership between the Responsible Brazilian Cotton program (ABR) and the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) remains in force. Brazilian producers may voluntarily choose BCI licensing through the ABR opt-in form, with no change to their routine for enrollment, auditing, and data reporting.

Since 2012, Abrapa, BCI, the state associations, and producers have built a relationship based on trust and transparency. This cooperation has helped strengthen the credibility of Brazilian cotton in international markets, expand the adoption of good sustainability practices in the field, and demonstrate that it is possible to reconcile productivity, social and environmental responsibility, and traceability. Abrapa recognizes the value of this journey and the lessons it has provided.
