In December, Brazil exported 452.5 thousand tonnes of cotton, bringing the total to 1.405 million tonnes for the first five months of the 2025/26 marketing year. This performance marks an all-time high for the August-December period in history.
China, Bangladesh and Turkey imported 300,466 tonnes in December 2025. In the cumulative total for 2025/26, these three countries accounted for 55% of the volume (770,715 tonnes).
